iler as solo violinist, the Akademie has finally dropped its reservations about approaching this 'baroque hit', a reservation justified by the countless interpretations already on the market today. However, in working together with Juan Kruz Diaz de Garaio Esnaola, a new vision arose of a very unique 'choreographed' production of the music, one that diverts the attention of the listener away from the soloist and back to the programatic aspects of the music within the orchestra. Rather than concentrating on the virtuoso agility of the soloist, an unbelievably plastic 'visual' interpretation of the Four Seasons will be showcased here. This is perfect for Vivaldi's concertos, as they are filled with musical descriptions the listener can immediately identify with. At the opening of the concert a quiet lute solo, performed in a darkened hall, is abruptly interrupted by the provocatively dissonant and at the time revolutionary chord of Chaos that opens Jean-Féry Rebel's suite 'The Elements'. In this performance the elements will be allegorically interpreted, without resorting to ballet, by a solo dancer, and as in Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons' the orchestra is subtly arranged in a way that frees itself from traditional forms.
