sheldinolevino booker t, steve cropper and duck dunn!
MMMbratt No one, besides of Bob and neil can dominate a band like that and setting the tone every melody. Specially Mr Dylan.
theycallmenavid double killlll, multti killl....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmegaaaaaa kill
porsch96 come on guys thats nice but soft...jimi's version is much better...
syddanelectro so much intensity when he plays man
dylnsburr I think Neil is the beat and i don't care what anyone else thinks....i saw him last night in Montreal and he was fantastic thats all i know...He's the best.... always has been and always will be.....and can't wait to see him again...
EPION1989 jimi hendrix version owns period
guitarist347 two thumbs down for an opinion? that's just stupid. THe lyrics come out better out of hendrix's mouth, and the same thing for tune to the guitar.
heynowtk Concur, and Bone-o had the nerve to add his own verse to the song. What a douche-bag.
tef0590 All Along the Watchtower: -written by Dylan -popularized by Hendrix -mastered by Young...
PhillaBong4Me everything about him, he has burned many bridges. turned down many commercial indoresments, hardly ever do you see him clothed any other way then how he feels. He hammers the #@!& out of his guitar the way he feels sometimes hitting 8 minute solos. not many musicians or people for that matter stay that true towards themselves
dylnsburr I love Neil.....he' the best....awesome
FuttBucker667 Who's more graceful than Neil when he's rocken out? Tell me. And to all the people compairing versons, no one cares. No one cares that you like Dylans version, Hendrix version or even (God forbid) The Dead or Dave Mattews version better.
dhikewhitney Grateful Dead performed much better versions as well.
porsch96 jimis version is better
Cleforo Dave Matthews Band does a better version by miles!
Nexwick original version is my favorite
bseymour123 i'm sure it's been mentioned somewhere within the 1500+ comments that have been posted, but i'll say it anyway. check out jeff healey's live in london version on youtube. it's the one that's 9+ minutes. i've only missed one neil young show that's come to milwaukee since '93 (including csn&y) and i always look forward to hearing him play this song. never thought anyone could even come close to neil's version until i heard jeff healey do it.
alanisbad N Young's electric guitar sound......Guitars were invented to sound like this. It sounds like like every tiny part of his amp is about to die. TOP STUFF
dmaurice1964 Always loved this song, Mr Young does it justice!
rocknroll6281990 Hahaha, someone made a comment, which I oddly enough cannot find now, that said something like "That's what my guitar teacher taught me, all you need is three chords and the truth!" And I realized that that is a line that Bono interjects into their rendition of 'All Along The Watchtower".
acousticelectricdude who's guitar teacher was Bono!!?!?? U2
acousticelectricdude he's a rockin hilbilly from canada
rocknroll6281990 Hahahaha, Bono was your guitar teacher!?!!
PurpleAndZeppelin but still you doubt it, a lot better. beginning for the voice
