stubbs4434 John lennon, not the beatles
bballkid2345 this wasnt a beatles song
noddyatdidcot this was the only beatles song i liked but as per norm neil does the bussiness.bloody beautiful.
crunchylittle just love Neil Young
nash1348 i dint no neil played piano
anetchi Such a beautiful song. It makes me teary when I imagine a world with no religion and other silly boundaries separating us. It would be heaven on earth if people didn't believe in religion, this is all we have. Religion just doesn't make an sense!! John Lennon, you are the author of one of the most inspirational and lovely songs I've heard. peace and love to ALL
DarthExecutor anyone know where I can hear a version of imagine in a foreign language so I don't have to listen to the stupid lyrics?
tongatsuya021 haha ofjuk....bad singer....neil young is a legend...theres no way he is a bad singer. and btw he is trying to get it to sound like joh's version.
tongatsuya021 neil young covered this song amazingly...noone else could cover this song that well. great job neil a true legend right there.
addmelolz wow, in that opening shot it could have been from 1972... Young is a true legend. No one else could cover this song.
noddyatdidcot apart from the late great john lennon this is the only one with the heart to take on this great song.keep it going neil, happy birthday for yesterday.
notiondetector i remember the intensity of this moment in time. We were all stunned, lost, frightened, sad. Only a peer of John's could do justice to this anthem in this moment. neil, you did good.
premarcrules greatest song ever written...not the most complicated, just a simple, worthy message.
sbbinahee Great job Neil!
shlizmos Who are you to say who's worthy of listening to music? Lennon wrote mostly about peace and love, but he also wrote that he didn't believe in God, I think samharpeye's question is perfectly valid.
shlizmos I heard about this cancellation. You gotta respect a man, who time and again, shows respect for the working class heros of our world... although, I truly am sorry you missed the seeing him because of it. I agree with you on Dylan's personal persona these days. His swagger on stage is truly appealing, although I don't think he really "unplugs" anymore. Regardless, I will see both these men perform "over and over again" until they retire (as if?).
AntnyMichlHallnOats Ahh...Van the Man! You know they're recording the bowl show dontcha? Which means the audio should be great as far as his efforts. I still to this day haven't seen Van. Sure to dig him though and will try and get bowl tix. Have a good time at the show smoke!
AntnyMichlHallnOats A game is right. When doing acoustic numbers...always heartfelt. His electric...mindblowing! But the old man canceled his show on me. He didn't want to cross the picket line. Being a union man myself, I understand and hope to catch him on his promised return. Seen Dylan as well? Don't you find him a bit more personal now days? His voice too (although a bit tattered), has character in it that is really appealing. His "unplugged" show is fantastic (to me).
shlizmos I agree fully, I saw Neil in Vancouver Oct 22 and Dylan in Victoria Oct 23, not a virginal experience with either and time and again Neil bring's his A game, whereas Dylan... It's just great to see the man still doing what he does (I leave it at that).
shlizmos That certainly is the sentiments of the man who wrote the song. He also wrote a song which starts "God is a concept, by which we measure our pain..." However, based on Neil's past few albums, he definitely has a differing opinion then that of John Lennon when it comes to God or "The Great Spirit."
retab#@!& Don't want to be rude, but this is even better than when Lennon sang it. Notice how he says-"imagine no posessions-I wonder if 'I' can, instead if 'you' can. Not as accusatory it seems. So beautiful! Neil is beautiful soul.
OrganicTrichome it means we shouldnt separated into groups in any way even religiously because if you are on different sides those sides will argue for what they believe in... and if there was world peace there would be none of that
WizzMasterZero are you #@!&ing retarded?? You shouldn't be listening to music.
RenaudG14 Did you listen the song past the fist minute ? He describe a perfect world where there would be no reason to have war. And yes, religion is the cause of many wars
samsharpeye is this song saying god doesnt exist or is it just about world peace?
