taylormade111232 one of the greats in music. much appreciated Niel!
zoobotguy Does anyone know where this was this concert was recorded?
briantheoutlaw jagge/richardson? perhaps jagger/richards in the correct names
aaronryanmusic Yeah, I think too much stock is put into making things complicated for the sake of "show". A great song will always stand on it's own and this fits into that category.
GiveEmHellMCR I dont like U2, who is DS? Queen are good
GiveEmHellMCR That plus one not guitar solos
TheStudent9 What an awesome raw voice. "Hmmmmm". 3:08 and a 1/2. Pure soul. GOOD MUSIC FOREVER!!!

TheAllyJowettBand Wicked song. If you're into this you'll want to check out our profile, ta.
smoke117 Astral Weeks is NOT overrated. That's one of the greatest albums ever easily. I'll agree with Jonis blues, sgt. peppers (they have at least 4 albums that are better), I can stand Pink Floyd, u2, Queen is decent, led zep is dcent, Clapton gets entirely too much credit considering he's an average-decent SONGWRITER at best and DS never did anything for me.
siarung yeah but i was referring to solo singer/songwriters. Of course it goes without saying lennon/macca,the kinks bros, the glimmer twins etc also came up with the goods (you can keep van the man tho, astral weeks is one of THE most overrated album ever ,well along with jonis blue, loves forever changes, fabs sgt pep and of course anything by pinkfloyd, u2,queen,led zep 4,clapton,dire str....well you get the picture)
smoke117 I think the genius of the man and really his music is that he can make simplicity so magnificent. Neil Young to me is the greatest songwriter of all time and if anything...if you have any sense you would have to put him top 10 at the least. My point though is that this song really isn't difficult to play, it's the fact he can make such a simple song musically with his harmonica, lyrics, and voice so magical. THAT is the genius of Neil Young.

Now greet the arrival of 'Sugar Mountain- Live At Canterbury House 1968,' another singular installment in the continuing Neil Young Archives Performance Series. On this CD+DVD set, recorded in Ann Arbor, MI, November 9-10, just days before the release of Young's self titled solo debut, one of the greatest singer-songwriters in rock history is heard solo and acoustic at the height of one of the must tumultuous and creative periods ever experienced both in music and culture.
