Everyone knows he was a total guitar fretboard self indulgent wanker. So until you post anything of yourself singing or playing a instrument, ill think of you as nothing more than a little turd who needs flushing.

demonight2 What about the high notes in Another Day Scream ? Lookslike really STRONG and chesty, and its above the "CHANGE" of take the time... and above the "to END" in Innocence Faded (By the way, do you have MSN ? I would love to discuss this with ya =))

largomalmsteen when i refer to Very Very mixed in the MOON ....is that it is a sound thats has a lot of resonance in the head as it is not colcoated with power....and that is why you hear it like in the HOLD from surrounded...which in fact is an extremely well colocated head voice

largomalmsteen and let me tell you...labrie doesnt sing with full chest voice in high notes...it is called mixed voice...its like chest voice with resonance in the head....ALL you hear in labries upper register (up to high D) is mixed voice....obviously this isnt bad...on the contrary...i LOVE him...but what i mean is that Chesty voices are not his style..or technique..understand now?

largomalmsteen no look...they dont sound the same...the "MOON" is mixed voice...listen very well...the fact is...its a c#...and its right in the limit...so when he does not scream and places it well like in for example take the time..."i think its time for CHANGE"...which is the same note...or even in under a glass moon...the SKYYYYYY from de chorus..the sound isnt the same and it sounds like more full and chesty....the MOON sounds very very mixed and i think its kind of on purpose.

demonight2 I understood it perfectly now... I've notice all the notes you said (The TIME at Under a Glass Moon, when its RIGHT in the Another Day) But you know, even in the Under a Glass Moon.. right in the beginning, when he sings "I Smile at the *MOON*" This MOON is Chest voice and sounds like the "HOLD" in the Surrounded.. you know ? i Mean.. he reaches a HIGH note, do the vibrato and RAISE it... but at Live he only HIT the note with no vibrato... btw, Another Day Screams (1st and 2nd) Are Mix voices?

largomalmsteen and that is very common to hear from him in images and words...please take the time to search and look that all that notes are done perfectly well in live concerts...that is because it is head voice...when he sings with chesty /mixed voice is when he has the real challenge...in surrounded the highest note with chesty/mixed voice is a C...which is really high...now the HOLD is an Eb...which is done by head voice...do you understand?? ajajaj i think ive explain it a little bit confusing..??

largomalmsteen well and thats what i work for...and what i like to do...so thank you for your attention..now..have you ever heart bruce dickinson in high notes?...THAT is belting..what labrie does in notes above the high D...(d5)which is his highest chest/mixed note he has made...you can hear it in innocence faded...now for the famous "but i will HOLD" in surrounded or the..."TIME" in the under a glass moons chorus..or the "right for you theull fall" in another day...that is an extremely well placed head voice

demonight2 What i learn in some Church Chorus, is that belting its some kind of High Chest Voice, I don't know how to "Explain" that for ya.. i know what it is, but dunno how to explain... but in its overall its some kind of High Chest Voice... And I hadn't took what you said as a "Offense", im thanking you for giving me the tip =) its good to hear stuffs from who KNOW what says... and you are right, singing like LaBrie is wasting my voice, thats why I sing like 1 time per week or something...

largomalmsteen hey man! coome on...im not saying this to frighten you....you just need vocal lessons...when youre able to take them...they will help a lot..now for the moment let me tell you..you need to concentrate first on tone..and not to focus in getting higher...you know singing around the high C like in surrounded without vocal lessons will riun your voice in a moment...so please focus first on tone...about labries techniqe....first of all...what do you think belting is?..i let it all to you..

demonight2 Ya i know =) im learning, never made vocal lessons... it is damn hard to sing like LaBrie with only 2 years of Practice and without vocal lessons... but unfortunately i don't have enough money to make some by now =( i would kill to... but can't by now =( if you could give me some tips hahaha =) About the Head or Belting, i would SWEAR that it is belting... at least I think in the studio version it is Belting... or it is Head too ? man haha

largomalmsteen ok my friend...let me tell you...IT IS HEAD VOICE....im a Vocal Coach and i love james labrie...ive studied him all along his career...he does not have a bel canto technique and que does not belt...he uses an extremely well placed and ringing head voice, in fact ive seen your videos and man...and to be honest..you are really out of tune..but im not saying you cant improve...i recomend you to start singing lessons...and i hope you improve..

demonight2 Nah is not Head Voice, is High Belting Voice, no kidding, check my videos, i made a cover of this music, its Belting Voice, not Head voice... haha thats why labrie is so #@!&ing GOD, i mean, he can reach a High Belting Voice after what he sang and he reach it as a rocket, just HIT IT, that #@!&in awesome. Usually singers when they will hit a high belting, they first start from 2 notes down and raise it fast and then Hold. LaBrie could belt last Another Day Scream just like he could hit any note

largomalmsteen let me tell you you are parcially wrong...in that...but i will HOLD...he uses head voice...and live...his head voice was always rasp and agresive..it doasnt depend on his vocal state...i dont know if he does it on purpose but i know hes always done head voice live like that...chek out take the time...he makes good screams with head voice...all rasped

demonight2 LaBrie is incredible in any way hahaha but the surrounded live in tokio '93, check at the end, theres a damn high belting note.. this one :"..I sent the spirit stumbling down the hill.. but I will HOLD..." In this HOLD always come a drive, and man... thats freaking strange cause after his rupture, theres some musics like "Lines In The Sand" that in the high belting notes his voice just do the same sound... I use to think that those "High Belting Drives" was the beginning of his rupture

demonight2 Ya i know what u mean.. but if u see '93 videos, close to his "Rupture" you'll see that all his HIGH BELTING VOICES, like Another Day Screams, has the Drive... and i really dunno if THAT kind of stuff was voluntary...
